UGANDA/ GORILLA WATCHING


The Safari includes White water Rafting, a game drive,a boat cruise, gorilla trekking and a forest walk.

Day 1:
Arrive Entebbe International airport.Meet and greet then transfer to Jinja hotel. Early morning go white water rafting along the Nile or boat ride as day’s activity. After the tour along the Nile river drive to Kampala for an overnight for Luxury Accomodation at Serena Hotel or for meduim Accomodation at City Royal and for Budget Accomodation at Red Chillie Campsite B/B.

Day 2: Drive north west have a stop over for lunch at Masindi then to Murchison Falls National Park. You will reach late afternoon proceed to the top of the Falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to one km squeezed through a 7-metre canyon dropping 150 metres with a thunderous roar, creating a beautiful rainbow. In the evening enjoy the superb comfort and service of either Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp for Luxury accommodation, Sambiya River Lodge for medium accommodation or Red chili for budget accommodation. Day 3: Go for an early morning game drive on the northern bank. With the help of the guide, you will spot elephant, lion, Roth child’s giraffe, cape buffalo, waterbuck, hartebeest, bushbuck, if you are lucky the leopard and other animals. After lunch go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’. You will spot the hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see waterbuck, elephant and Uganda Kob. You will also have an opportunity to view many bird species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. In the evening return either Paraa Safari Lodge or Nile Safari Camp for Luxury accommodation, Sambiya River Lodge for medium accommodation or Red chili for budget accommodation for an over night. FB

Day 4: Early morning proceed to Bwindi this drive will take you through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Overnight at either Buhoma Homestead or L. Kitandara Tented Camp for medium accommodation or Buhoma Community Bandas for Budget Accommodation. FB



Day 5: Go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different animals’ trails allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Enjoy the Buhoma Village Walk organized by the local community. Overnight at either Buhoma Homestead or L. Kitandara Tented Camp for medium accommodation or Buhoma Community Bandas for Budget Accommodation. FB

Day 6: Transfer to Kampala to drive to Entebbe Airport. A note for Trekkers: Remember to bring heavy leather gloves, stout hiking boots, long sleeves shirts, long pants, a light back-pack, and water-bottle.

ITINERARY
DAY 1
NAIROBI
Arrival: Transfer to hotel (B/B)
DAY 2
NAKURU
Leave Nairobi after breakfast (9:00 am) Arrive Lake Nakuru at lunch time.Afternoon game viewing till sunset. In Lake Nakuru see Flamingos,pelicans and other bird species, lions, rhino, waterbucks, buffalo and giraffe roaming the park.
DAY 3
BARINGO/BOGORIA
Lakes Baringo and Bogoria are one of the world’s oldest drive across the escarpments and down scenic valley floor to see L. Bogoria hot springs and flamingoes. Lake Baringo is good for boating, over 350 species of bird life has been found here. At an extra cost boat ride is offered for spectacular adventure. Return to Nakuru for an overnight stay.
DAY 4
L.NAIVASHA
Leave Nakuru after early breakfast for Lake Naivasha arrive after an hour.Walking safari and cycling at Hell’s Gate National Park, lunch at the camp, spend afternoon boat riding to the crater island till sunset. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.
DAY 5
MAASAI MARA
Early morning breakfast; leave Lake Naivasha for the great Maasai Maraarrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game viewing till sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp / lodge.
DAY 6
MAASAI MARA
Full day in Maasai Mara, visit the famous Mara River to see Hippos,Crocodiles and Snakes. Game viewing done looking for Big games –elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, lions and leopards. In the afternoon visit the Maasai villages (Manyattas) to see Maasai huts, tradition and culture before returning to the camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7
MAASAI MARA
Walking / Trekking Safari.Begin the day with early breakfast in preparation for an early walk across the Maasai land. Driven from the game park into the distant wilderness and plain. Start trekking in a group led by a Maasai guide through trails and visit village Manyattas and schools as well. All of us go for the walk through forest bushes, grassland and homes, scenic wilderness. On the way back, local people: children and women take you back to showcase life style of the old/ancient time. The bus takes you back exhausted from trek to camp / lodge for shower dinner and overnight stay at the camp/ lodge
DAY 8
NAIROBI
Go for the game viewing return to the lodge / camp for breakfast, relax shortly awaiting lunch before returning to Nairobi, and arrive around 6:00pm to your hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 9
NAIROBI
Day at leisure however short excursions in the city or shopping is offered
DAY 10
DEPARTURE
Optional – Morning /departure. Transfer to airport for flight to Ireland
